The Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District and the Senate Chief Whip Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, has revealed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Abia State High Chief Ikechi Emenike have not informed him that he is running for governor of the state.
The former governor and APC senatorial flagbearer for Abia North, stated this on an Arise TV morning show programme monitored by ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER.
Orji insisted that he is not aware of the aspiration of Ikechi Emenike and based on that he will not endorse or campaign for an individual who has not formally informed him of his aspiration.
The Senator went further to posit that the APC presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu visited him with his people and formally informed him of his presidential aspiration and he wondered by a governorship candidate of a state that he was a two time governor will not do same.
Orji urged Emenike to do the right thing as he has not made up his mind of who to vote for as governor.
“I am waiting for Emenike to bring cow and drinks to tell me he is running for governor”
Senator Orji Kalu stated that Ikechi Emenike is still bearing grudges of over 20 years and accusing him of stopping him from going to the senate and being governor. He equally revealed that Emenike has been campaigning against him and telling people not to vote him.
When asked if he is not playing anti party considering the allegations that he is behind the governor aspiration of his brother Mascot Uzor Kalu, Senator Orji posited that his brother is an adult and has a right to contest for the election.
“My brother is running and he is more competent than other persons running for governor in Abia State”
