Senator Isah Jubrin moves for the adoption of votes and proceedings for Wednesday, 6th October, 2020. The motion was seconded by Senator Ibrahim Danbaba

Senator Sabi Abdullahi raises a petition from his constituent, Kabiru Umar Farouq, aganist the Bureau of Public Enterprise (BPE) over non-payment of his severance package and pension not deposited into his pension account.

Petition was laid and referred to the Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions, and to report back in two weeks.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu cites Order 42 and 52 to seek the leave of the Senate to present a motion on the need to check the culture of brutality by security operatives to Nigerians.

“The only difference between SARS and criminals is that they are holding AK47. Some very wicked Nigerians go to SARS to tell them to harass their fellow citizens. We must ensure that SARS has a rule of engagement that everyone is aware of.” – Senator Sabi Abdullahi

“SARS members are agents of corruption. They extort money from innocent people and lock people up arbitrarily. They are not VIOs; they will go ahead to ask for driving licence. That is not their function. They must face their functions SARS have turned back against the nation. This is the right time to do something about them.” – Senator George Sekibo
