Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state, has sacked members of the State Executive Council.
According to a statement signed by the Special Assistant on Media, the dissolution of the cabinet members takes effect from Tuesday, May 24.
Others affected include the Chief of Staff to the Governor and Senior Special Assistants.

The Governor commended the members of Rivers State Executive Council for “their service and contribution to the development of the State” and “wished them the best in all their future endeavors.”
He also directed the former cabinet members to hand over to the most senior officers in their respective offices.
