AFNews reported earlier that COVID-19 death toll rises to 158 as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Tuesday night confirmed 146 new cases of Coronavirus in the country.

The new figure obviously was almost equal to the slash of the previous cases reported.

However, Nigeria as at Tuesday, May 12 has a total of 4787 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The microblogging site account of the NCDC was, however, greeted with a barrage of reactions due to the newly reported figures which gives new hope of victory to the citizens.

See below some reactions by Nigerians on Twitter,

I hope the numbers are going down for real.
