A commissioner nominee Mr. George Emeka Ikwuagwu has promised to attract foreign investors to invest in the Housing sector of the state.

Mr. Ikwuagwu who gave down the promise while answering questions from members of Abia House of Assembly during his screening, explained that Housing is very important to the development of the state, adding that if given the Housing portfolio, he will help to uplift the standard of Housing.

He promised to help Civil Servants in the state to own their houses, pointing out that investing in the housing sector is important.

He regretted that most Abians are building outside the state, advising that the government should ensure that Housing is given great priority.

Answering questions from the members representing Osisioma Ngwa North, Ukwa West and Isialangwa North state constituencies, Mr. Ikwuagwu who hails from Isuikwuato L.G.A, stated that as an Estate developer, he will help the state to develop a housing estate that will stand the test of time.
