(JUST IN)APC ABIA SOUTH PRE-ELECTION MATTER, NYERERE FLOORS MARC WABARA

The battle of who is the authentic APC senatorial candidate for Abia South has come to an end with the court ruling in favour of Chief Anyim Nyerere against Sir Marc Wabara.

In this pre-election matter that was first filed in Abuja but later transferred to Abia State sorts to authenticate who was supposed to be the APC Candidate for Abia South. Based on what we gathered, the matter was filed as an originating sworn and the judge push it to trail with all parties coming forward to prove their case.

We learnt that Nyerere’s counsels were able to prove their case by presenting authentic senatorial primary results from INEC that monitored the primary, also result from the panel that supervised the primary and both results matched.

While speaking with the lawyer that represented Chief Anyim Nyerere, Barr. Emeka Okoye, he explained that they were able to prove their case beyond all reasonable doubt and the court has reason but to declare her result in favour of his client.

“we were able to present the INEC result of senatorial primary and also that of the APC panel that supervised the primary and the resulted were the same. Apart from that, the APC returning officers for that election also testified”.

Based on this court decision, if by any chance the election of Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe was nullified or cancelled by the election tribunal and a rerun is declared, Chief Anyim Nyerere will be the candidate of APC on that ballot.

Remember, Sir Marc Wabara still has a right of appeal.
