It was a moment of joy and Jubilation as the senator representing the entire people of Abia North Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Mao Arukwe Ohuabunwa (Onunekwuru Oha 1) commissiond the water borehole he constructed for the people of Amaeke Abam in Arochukwu LGA.
Commissioning the project, the versatile Senator described Amaeke Abam as his home having known the people for a long time and some prominent sons and daughters of the community including the late Paramount Ruler of Amaeke Abam, Eze Kalu Orji, Senator Mao promised to do more for the people of Amaeke Abam and Abam Onyerubi in general if reelected back to the Senate.
Speaking, the President general of Amaeke Abam Development union Chief Agwu Igodo eulogized Senator Mao Ohuabunwa for completing the project within a short time, he described the Senator as a good friend of Amaeke Abam and Abam onyerubi in general especially for bringing dividends of Democracy to the people of Abam Onyerubi which includes, Construction of a healthcare cente and borehole at Ndi Oji Abam, the ongoing rural electrification of Ndi Agwu Abam of which Transformer has already been installed, the ongoing Construction of omenuko bridge, Ozu Abam etc.
He assured the Senator that the people of Amaeke Abam will keep on supporting him.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of a male sheep and other valuable items to the Senator in appreciation, while the event witnessed the presence of the former Chairman of Arochukwu LGA Prince Dan Kalu Orji, the former Chairman of Bende LGA Pastor Dike Okechukwu, S. A. to the Governor of Abia State, Hon. Chief Ogbonnaya Nwosu, Chief Nnanna Origba, Engr. Peter Ojugo, the wife of the T. C. Chairman of Arochukwu LGA, Mrs Ngozichukwu Victoria Ngunu and other notable sons and daughters of Amaeke Abam. (PUO)
