Based on the information sent to AFN, a Police Officer was today gun down and his rifle taken away at popular Hotel along Azikwe road by East in Aba, Abia State.
We gathered the attackers came in Keke and were three persons.

We were watch Real Madrid v Girona at Terminus Annex Hotel when we heard 3 gun shot. People from outside started running while we took cover from the hotel bar. After 3 mins we came out and found the body of the mobile police man on the floor. We ran towards there in a bid to assist other hotel security boys to see if he could be revived. It was them that told us the gunmen came with Keke napepe, unknown to the officer, they shut at him 3 times and took his gun. They were two policemen on duty but as at the time the incident occured, the other on was not around. He only came back few mins later.
