The Nigerian Army has released dramatic video evidence showing how its troops neutralized no fewer than 63 terrorists during a fierce battle in Borno State.

The operation, which took place in Mallam Fatori, Abadam Local Government Area, underscores the military’s renewed offensive against insurgent groups operating in Nigeria’s North-East.

According to an official statement, the terrorists—suspected to be members of Boko Haram and ISWAP—launched a coordinated assault on the 68 Battalion Main Defensive Area in the early hours of Wednesday.

The attackers reportedly advanced on foot from the Duguri axis, deploying multiple armed drones in a desperate attempt to breach military defenses.

However, troops on ground responded swiftly, engaging the insurgents in a fierce firefight that ultimately led to the neutralization of dozens of the attackers.

Footage released by the Army shows the aftermath of the encounter, with several bodies of the neutralized terrorists seen at the scene.

The video has since sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians commending the military for what appears to be a significant operational success.

The Army revealed that follow-up operations are already underway to track down fleeing insurgents and prevent any attempt at regrouping.

Advanced Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms have been deployed to monitor escape routes and sustain pressure on remaining elements.

Military authorities insist the operation is part of a broader strategy to restore lasting peace in the region.

Security analysts say the development signals a possible shift in momentum in the fight against insurgency, especially with increased use of intelligence and coordinated ground response.

The Nigerian Army reaffirmed its commitment to protecting communities and dismantling terrorist networks across the North-East.
