The forthcoming Isuikwuato Nwanneukwu Cultural Festival 2025 has received a major boost as His Excellency, Senator Ike Nwachukwu (Ogbuagu Ndigbo) once again reaffirmed his total endorsement and support for the historic cultural celebration scheduled to be held from 23rd to 24th December 2025 at Isuikwuato High School football fields.
The former Minister of Foreign Affairs and distinguished statesman restated his commitment during a courtesy visit by the President General of Isuikwuato Development Union (IDU) National, Chidiebere Uguru, JP, who led a delegation to Senator Nwachukwu’s Lagos residence to brief him on ongoing preparations.
During the visit, Uguru presented the official festival fabric, invitation card, and an updated progress report as part of efforts to ensure a successful celebration of Isuikwuato’s rich cultural heritage.
Senator Nwachukwu, a revered elder statesman and proud son of Isuikwuato, expressed excitement over the progress so far. He commended the IDU leadership for reviving and promoting cultural identity, unity, and community pride among Isuikwuato people at home and abroad.
The Ogbuagu Ndigbo noted that cultural festivals such as Nwanneukwu symbolize unity, brotherhood, and continuity of heritage, adding that he is honoured to serve as Chairman of the Occasion.
Beyond reaffirming his full endorsement, Senator Nwachukwu also pledged to invite prominent dignitaries, national leaders, and key stakeholders to grace the event, describing the festival as “a cultural renaissance the entire Igbo nation should celebrate.”
Sources within IDU National reveal that the 2025 edition aims to be the biggest cultural gathering in Isuikwuato in recent years, featuring traditional displays, age-grade presentations, masquerade exhibitions, cultural lectures, arts and craft exhibitions, and a grand reception for illustrious sons and daughters.
The President General, Chidiebere Uguru, thanked Senator Nwachukwu for his unwavering support, describing him as a pillar of unity and a global ambassador of Isuikwuato culture.
Preparations for the festival are already attracting massive attention across Abia State, with stakeholders describing Senator Nwachukwu’s renewed endorsement as a signal that the event will be historic.
