… Says the resilience of Nigerian workers remains the soul of the nation, urges commitment to dignity, reward, and inclusive progress

As the world commemorated Workers’ Day on May 1st, 2025, frontline Labour Party chieftain and respected grassroots mobilizer, Hon. Iheanyi Frank Chinasa, has paid glowing tribute to Nigerian workers—especially those in Abia State—describing them as the “heartbeat of Nigeria’s strength and future.”

In a heartfelt message shared during the nationwide celebration, Hon. Chinasa saluted workers across all sectors—from the bricklayer at a remote building site in Ohafia, to the teacher nurturing future leaders in a village classroom, the market trader braving daily challenges to feed the community, and the medical professionals safeguarding public health.

“In every corner of our land,” he said, “our workers shine through adversity, standing tall with dignity—even when conditions challenge their will. Their resilience is the true measure of our national strength.”

Hon. Chinasa, who has consistently spoken out on policies to improve welfare and productivity in Abia and Nigeria, stressed that the progress of any society lies not just in infrastructure or economic figures—but in the recognition, reward, and support given to those who build it.

He further stated:

“Our artisans, farmers, teachers, health workers, civil servants, and entrepreneurs represent the soul of our nation. They power the engine of growth with sweat, skill, and sacrifice. It is time we reward their labor with policies that uplift, protect, and dignify them.”

Calling for unity of purpose among both leaders and citizens, he emphasized that a better Abia and a stronger Nigeria are only possible when the people are supported to thrive. “Let us commit to a future where no worker is left behind—where labor earns fair reward, and every voice is heard,” he concluded.

The statement resonated strongly with citizens who welcomed the call for leadership that prioritizes the welfare and dignity of the working class.

As Nigeria continues to grapple with economic challenges, insecurity, and structural reforms, Hon. Chinasa’s Workers’ Day message is a reminder that the nation’s true wealth lies in its people—and that it is the tireless worker who fuels the vision of a more just and prosperous society.
