Abia PDP Chieftain ‘Emeka Kalu’ Backs Otti’s Investigation Of Finances Under Ikpeazu | WATCH VIDEO
Prominent Abia State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain and ally to 2023 PDP Presidential Candidate Atiku Abubakar Chief Dr. Emeka Charles Kalu, has backed the financial investigation kicked off by Governor Alex Chioma Otti OFR.
Chief Kalu who stated this during a GOVERNOR ALEX OTTI ONE YEAR IN OFFICE SCORECARD programme aired live on Flo FM Radio Umuahia and streamed live via ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER social media handles, explained that the governor is doing his job and that accountability is one of the key factors in quality leadership.
“The governor has the right to investigate the finances of the state and we as Abians also have the right to know what happened to our funds”
“The investigation will enable the governor know where we are exactly and help him to chart the right course forward” he stated.
On the issue of how he will rate Governor Alex Otti’s performance in the last one year, the PDP chieftain gave the governor 100%.
“I am happy and Abians have seen what Governor Otti has done within the short period of time he has been governor. If his mandate was not stolen from him in the previous elections, Abia would have been a paradise compared to other states around”
“Abians are reaping the dividends of democracy, the best thing to happen to Abia State is Governor Otti” – Chief Kalu posited.
On the issue of investment, Chief Kalu who was speaking virtually from United State of America, revealed that investor now see Abia State as a choice place for investment. He said this is happening because the state now has someone that has what it takes to attract investors.
“In 2015, I tried to bring investors to Abia State, it did not work because there was no was enabling environment, but things have changed now”
On why he is speaking for Governor Otti when other PDP members are criticizing him, Chief Kalu explained that governance is not about party, that governance is about what you can do for your people and anyone that is doing the right thing should be encouraged.
