35-Year-Old Employee In Court For Allegedly Stealing Spaghetti | READ MORE

One Mr Chris Iruonagbe, aged 35, has appeared before an Ogba Magistrate court in Ogba area of Lagos state for allegedly conspiring with other colleagues now at large to steal 426 cartons of spaghetti belonging to the company he works for.

 

Iruonagbe and others allegedly stole the goods belonging to GPC Energy and Logistics Limited at 4B, Regina Coker Street, Ajao Road, Ikeja, Lagos which worth N3.5m on November 22, 2022 at about 11:30pm.

The alleged crime contravenes sections 411 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015 and is punishable as such.

The charges read in part, “That you, Chris Iruonagbe, and others at large on November 22, 2022, around 11.30pm, in the Ikeja magisterial district, did conspire among yourselves to steal 426 cartons of spaghetti belonging to GPC Energy and Logistics Limited at 4B, Regina Coker Street, Ajao Road, Ikeja, Lagos.”

Appearing before the presiding judge, Chief Magistrate L.O. Owolabi, Iruonagbe  pled not guilty to the two count charges of conspiracy and stealing levelled against him.

Owolabi granted the defendant bail of 500,000 with two sureties in like sum. The matter was adjourned  till January 16, 17, 18, and 19, 2023, for trial.
