BREAKING (PETER OBI): Labour Party Factional Presidential Candidate Ezenwafor Withdraws | DETAILS
The factional 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour party, Mr. Jude Ezenwafor, has reportedly withdrawn from the race.
Calistus Okafor led faction had organized a national convention on June 8, where Ezenwafor, a former party chairman in Anambra State, was declared the candidate, questioning Peter Obi’s candidacy.

In a letter circulating online, addressed to the national leadership of Labour Party, Ezenwafor reportedly wrote;
“I hereby withdraw from the forthcoming Presidential Election in 2023. After consulting my supporters Nationwide, I decided to withdraw for personal reasons.
“I regret any inconvenience my withdrawal might cost our great Party. I thank the leadership of our great Party for giving me the opportunity to serve Nigeria”.
Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide led by Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) had issued an ultimatum to Ezenwafor to withdraw from the race.
Ezenwafor’s appearance had caused controversy, however, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), dismissed his candidacy.
