ABIA: Why Senator Abaribe’s Resignation Is Setback For PDP- Shehu Sani
Former federal lawmaker and socio-political activist, Shehu Sani, has weighed on the raving subject of the resignation of Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Abia Gubernatorial hopeful, Abaribe dumped PDP and resigned as the Minority Leader in the upper chamber of the National Assembly on Friday, 27th May 2022.
The Red Chamber member cited ”illegality, impunity, and hesitations in decision-making’’ as reasons for deserting the party.
According to author cum playwright, Sani, who reacted on Twitter, Abaribe’s resolve is a serious setback for the PDP.
Showering encomium on the Aba-born lawmaker, Sani bemoaned the failure of the involved parties to solve issues amicably.
He wrote on Twitter;
”Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe’s reported resignation from the PDP is a serious setback to the opposition.
He is an outstanding lawmaker and a strong voice for justice, equity and accountable. It is unfortunate that the Abia issues couldn’t be solved amicably.”
