TERRORISM: Nigerians Should Be Allowed To Carry Weapons – Shehu Sani
In the raging wake of terrorism, former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani has advocated Nigerians should be allowed to carry weapons.
The lawmaker’s plea serves as a backup to House of Representatives Majority Leader, Ado Doguwa’s call for Nigerians to be empowered for self defense against the whims of terrorism.
Sani who has always been vocal in the fight against terrorism opined people should be allowed to resort to self defense if the Government and security agents cannot churn out the needed efficiency to vanquish terrorism.
The 56-year-old added people in prominently affected areas should be allowed to wield the same weapons as the terrorists.
Airing his view in a tweet, the socio-political activist wrote;
“If the Government and security agencies can’t crush these terrorists and bandits kidnapping and killing our people in Northern and Southern Kaduna, people should be officially allowed to carry same weapons and let’s see who owns the land.”
