The President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku has portrayed the Super Eagles of Nigeria as ”little babies” pretending to be big boys.
Nigeria and Ghana will battle for glory in a double-leg 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs billed for March 25th and 29th.
While Ghana will host Nigeria in one of her metropolitan cities, Kumasi on March 25th, the reverse showdown will take place in Nigeria’s central, Abuja on the 29th of March.
Amid built-up tensions to the game, Ghana’s principal football association head has launched a verbal missile on archrivals, Nigeria.
Okraku who spoke in an interview with Joy Sports said;
“It’s that time of the year where every Ghanaian will have to stand up and be counted. It’s that time of the year where our country’s pride is at stake,” .
It’s that time of the year where Ghana must be at the Mundial, but before we do that, we have a common foe, the Super Eagles of Nigeria. They come across as our little babies, but they pretend to be the big boys.”
Meanwhile, Ghana has not lost to the Super Eagles in over 16 years.
