How Bandits Kidnapped Catholic Priest, Killed Others In Kaduna | READ IN FULL

A Catholic Church priest, Reverend Fr. Joseph Akeke was in the early hours of Tuesday, kidnapped by suspected bandits in Kudendan community of Kaduna State.

A resident identified only as Samson told DailyTrust that the gunmen launched an attack in the arear at about 1am till 2:30am.

The priest and another female resident alongside her two children, were said to be abducted while local security guards at Akeke’s resident were killed.

“We couldn’t sleep last night due to tension and gunshots. The Reverend father of Kudenda Catholic church was abducted. His guard killed. Another man too in the community was killed while a woman and her two children were abducted,” the source said.

When contacted, Police spokesman, ASP Jalige Mohammed, said he would find out the details before commenting.
