The lead counsel representing Nnamdi Kanu, Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor has revealed why none of Kanu’s lawyers was in the court room when his case was adjourned.

Ejiofor who spoke to journalists, said the lawyers were forced to storm out of the court room when they learnt that operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), were restricting their colleagues including Igbo traditional leaders.

The lawyers had stepped out of court to confront the DSS officials as justice Nyako Binta was yet to come into the court room. Unfortunately, Justice Binta met a court room without any of Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyers. She adjourned the case to January 19 and 20, 2022.

According to Kanu’s lawyers, they had rushed back to the court room when they learnt of the Judge’s presence but met the door locked by the DSS.
