Clifford University Debunks Alleged Bank Take Over Publication | READ DETAILS

Clifford University has debunked the publication on the alleged take over of the school by a bank institution.

ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER had reported that the varsity owned by the Seventh Days Adventist Church, is allegedly facing financial crisis as an undisclosed bank was set to take over the school over an unpaid loan.

ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER had called the Vice Chancellor, Clifford University, Prof. Chimezie Omeonu on phone to verify the validity of the allegation or otherwise.

Prof. Omeonu responding to the allegations of owing and take over, had said there is nothing like that, adding that even if the school was owing a bank, it does not mean that the bank will take over the school. READ HERE

Refuting the publication in a statement, the Registrar, Clifford University, Dr. E. E. Eko said the alleged debt and take over by a bank is false.

The statement titled; “Clifford University Refutes Allegation Of Bank Take Over By Online Medium” read;

Our attention has been drawn to a false and misleading fabrication published by an Umuahia-based online platform, Afnews.ng, wherein the news platform alleged an attempt by an undisclosed bank to interfere in the activities of the Clifford University over debt.

It is unfortunate that a body that calls itself a news platform can publish such an unprofessional and unguarded report that has no reference to any credible source or evidence. No single name, person or bank was quoted as a source or a confirmation of the report

In all the lines of the report, the online platform did not only publish outright falsehood but also flagrantly resorted to blackmail and defamation.

There is a clear inclination to communicate malice and a meditated intention to destroy the soaring reputation of the young university.

We are therefore using this medium to refute this falsehood and also confirming to the general public that there is no such incident with any bank and no crisis of any sort bedeviling the school.

The allegations are the figment of the imagination of Afnews.ng and her sponsors.

Let it be on record that Clifford University is a Christian university that is wholly owned by the Seventh Day Adventist Church and has maintained a consistent growth index since its inception five years ago.

Signed:

Dr. E. E. Eko, Registrar

On behalf of the University Administration

However, ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER is still carrying out investigations into the alleged unpaid debt and bank take over.
