President Bola Tinubu’s N27.5trillion 2024 budget of renewed hope, has passed second reading at the House of Representatives chamber.

The debate on the general principles of the budget was led by the House Leader, Hon. Julius Ihonvbere on Thursday.

Ihonvbere lauded Tinubu for prioritising education, and security in the budget.

“Nigeria will be more secure with the allocation to defence and security.

“As a teacher, I am impressed by the emphasis on basic education. I am sure that education will be better off this time,” he said.

The budget had passed it’s first reading on Wednesday when Tinubu presented the estimates at a joint session of the National Assembly
