Dave Umahi, Governor of Ebonyi State and one-time All Progressives Congress(APC) Presidential hopeful has won the Ebonyi South Senatorial ticket days after losing to party counterpart, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The politician finished in the sixth place in a tight race for the coveted Presidential seat ahead of the 2023 elections.
Fellow contenders like Rotimi Amaechi, Vice President Osinbajo, Ahmed Lawan, Rochas Okorocha also lost to Tinubu.
In a seeming twist of fate, 58-year-old Umahi has been declared winner in a rescheduled election.
