2023 Guber Poll: Abia Persons With Disabilities Endorse Alex Otti | READ DETAILS

Abians living with disabilities under the umbrella of Persons With Disabilities (PWD), have endorsed the candidacy of Dr Alex Otti, the Labour Party governorship candidate in Abia state, adopting him as their sole candidate for the 2023 governorship election.

Speaking through their leader when they paid a courtesy visit to Otti at his country home in Isialangwa South Local Government Area of Abia state, they expressed confidence in his ability to prioritize their welfare and give them a sense of belonging in his government. The PWD’s promised to mobilize their members in every nook and cranny of Abia state to ensure they massively vote for him and other Labour party candidates across the state.

They lauded Otti for giving them audience noting that the interaction with the governorship hopeful has opened their eyes the more about his amiable personality and enriched their knowledge as to what he was bringing to the table. The PWD’s maintained that they were eager to see Otti win the governorship election and preside over the affairs of the state come 2023 so that the state could begin to live up to its name as God’s Own State.

Responding, Dr. Alex Otti promised to prioritise the welfare of persons with disabilities in the state if elected as governor of the state, stressing that everyone in the state is important and has a role to play in the economic development of the state.

Dr. Otti regretted that such vulnerable citizens who should be given all the care and encouragement through employment and empowerment to live a better and more productive life were neglected and abandoned by the government, and assured them that his government would initiate policies and programs that would help identify and harness the talents of all citizens for the benefit of the state.
