One Taofeek Gbolagade, have fled after he allegedly pounced on his pregnant wife, over food in Ibadan, Oyo state.
The incident happened in the couple’s residence in Ogbere Housing Estate, Ibadan, in the early hours of Tuesday, April 12.
According to report, Gbolagade beat up his wife for not preparing Sahur (the pre-dawn meal usually taken by Muslims in preparation Ramadan fasting) on time.
He reportedly beat his pregnant wife for over 30 minutes before she managed to escape from the house.
The Oyo state police command have launched an investigation into the incident after the family reported to the station.
