The results of the Abia State Local Government elections held on November 2, 2024, have been announced, with the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) and Young Progressives Party (YPP) dominating the polls. Out of 17 Local Government Areas, the ZLP clinched 15 seats, establishing itself as the leading party in Abia’s local governance. YPP, on the other hand, secured two key victories in Ugwunagbo and Osisioma LGAs.
