Yoghurtvest Investment Scheme: Signs of Fraud Emerge as Investors Struggle to Recover Funds

With investors unable to recover their funds and an almost non-existent digital footprint, Yoghurtvest, an investment scheme managed by NEILB Multinational, has the telltale signs of fraud written all over it.

Yoghurtvest Investment Scheme:

On Wednesday, FIJ reported how Osaretin Adetola (not her real name), a Lagos-based doctor, invested N150,000 in the YoghurtVest scheme in 2020 only to have nothing to show for it nearly four years later.

Similar to Adetola’s case, FIJ found a 2022 post on X, where a user had accused Yoghurtvest of scamming investors.

Nnadi Chidozie Martin identified himself and tagged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for an intervention.

“EFCC, please help us! Yoghurtvest has taken our money and disappeared!” the post read.

But beyond the missing funds, there are other signs suggesting danger with the Yoghurtvest investment scheme.

First, the company’s supposedly robust digital presence has almost entirely vanished.

Adetola, the victim whose case FIJ had reported, mentioned that the investment dashboard went offline in 2023, leaving her and other investors in the dark.

NEILB Multinational, the company managing the scheme, also reportedly disappeared from online platforms around the same time.

At the time of this report, Yoghurtvest’s website was offline. Its Instagram page, dedicated to the investment scheme, was however active. FIJ called one of the numbers listed on the page and a woman answered. This woman denied any knowledge of the investment company.

The other two phone numbers FIJ found were switched off.

NEILB Multinational appears to have gone silent as well. Apart from having no traceable website, a search on the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) database returned an inactive status for the company.

In the past, Yoghurtvest earned credibility by associating itself with Habib Yoghurt, a popular dairy brand in Nigeria.

However, the press attempts to contact Habib Yoghurt for clarification via phone calls have gone unanswered.
