World Teachers’ Day: Prof Gregory Ibe Celebrates Teachers, Calls for Greater Support and Empowerment

On World Teachers’ Day, Prof Gregory Ibe, Founder of Gregory University Uturu, celebrates teachers worldwide, commending their selfless contributions to education and calling on governments and stakeholders to support and empower educators.

 

As the world celebrates the 2024 World Teachers’ Day, Prof Gregory Ibe, Founder and Proprietor of Gregory University Uturu, Innov8 Hub Abuja, and Managing Director of Skill ‘G’ Ltd, has joined millions globally in honoring the invaluable contributions of teachers. Prof Ibe, a passionate educator and advocate for quality education, used the occasion to commend teachers for their dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to nurturing future generations.

 

In a press release issued on this year’s commemoration, Prof Ibe expressed his deep appreciation for the pivotal role that teachers play in shaping the minds and futures of students. According to him, teachers remain the backbone of the global education system, offering guidance and imparting knowledge that forms the foundation of societal development.

 

“As an educator and founder of an institution of learning, I understand the vital role teachers play in shaping the minds of future generations. Their dedication, hard work, and commitment to imparting knowledge are the backbone of our education system,” he stated.

 

Prof Ibe, known for his contributions to education through Gregory University Uturu and other initiatives, emphasized the need for governments, policymakers, and stakeholders to provide the necessary support and resources to educators. He urged for the creation of an enabling environment that fosters growth and development in the teaching profession, noting that teachers deserve recognition, investment in their professional development, and greater empowerment.

 

“As we commemorate World Teachers Day, I urge governments, policymakers, and stakeholders to recognize the importance of supporting and empowering teachers by creating the enabling environment for effective execution of their vital social functions,” Prof Ibe said.

 

He reaffirmed the commitment of Gregory University Uturu to upholding high standards of education and fostering an environment where teachers can thrive and contribute effectively to nation-building. He expressed confidence that with the collective effort of educators, governments, and society, a brighter future could be secured for all.

 

Prof Ibe concluded his message with warm felicitations to all teachers in Abia State, Nigeria, and across the world, acknowledging their immeasurable impact on individuals and communities.
