WORLD CUP: Why Eguavoen Quit Super Eagles Coaching Job| READ DETAILS
Super Eagles interim boss, Augustine Eguavoen has quit his job as the head coach of the Nigerian national team.
The 56-year-old had his hands full with the task of booking the nation a slot at Qatar’s World Cup showdown in November.
Eguavoen’s star studded team, however fell to sports archrivals, Ghana in the World Cup playoff reverse leg, dismissing all hopes for a seventh appearance at football’s biggest festival.
The former Enyimba F.C.coach will now return to his role as Technical Director of all national teams.
Meanwhile, Eguavoen and Super Eagles players snubbed the media after failing to qualify for Qatar 2022 following their second leg playoff 1-1 draw against Ghana’s Black Stars at the MKO Abiola Stadium on Tuesday 29th March.
