WORLD CUP PLAY-OFFS: List Of Black Stars Squad To Face Super Eagles | DETAILS
Ahead of the World Cup play-offs, Ghana has finally released a list of 27 Black Stars players who would prosecute the double header match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Friday, March 24 and Tuesday, 29.
The list comes after much delay resulting to speculations that it was a tactic to take the technical crew of the Super Eagles unaware till the match day.
Captain Andre Ayew who is serving a suspension from this year’s AFCON is absent on the squad list. He got a red card in the last group game where the Black Stars lost to debutants Comoros.
A statement released on Ghana’s Football Association website read; “Coach Otto Addo has named a 27 man squad for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 play offs against Nigeria.
“The Back Stars will take on the Super Eagles in two matches scheduled for Kumasi and Abuja respectively as the search for a ticket to November’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar heats up.
“Ghana will host the 1st leg at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Friday, March 25 before travelling to Abuja for the 2nd leg on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.
