World Cup: How Ghana Tried To Mark Me Out- Osimhen| READ DETAILS

Super Eagles cum Napoli Striker, Victor Osimhen has spoken on schemes by sports archrivals, Ghana to mark him out.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles were held to a 0-0 draw by Ghana’s Black Stars at Baba Yara’s Stadium first leg playoff clash on the 25th of March.

The 23-year-old who was a plague on the Black stars defenders, who in turn came hard at every opportunity, as revealed Addo’s men acted on instructions.

According to the shotter, the intense brawl for the ball between himself and Ghana ‘s Alexander Djiku which remains a highpoint of the game was all a ploy to edge him out.

The Napoli player stated that aside the defenders calling each other to double mark him, they were also reminded intermittently by the Black Stars technical crew.

“Mostly, Ghana’s assistant coach will tell the defenders to go hard on me every time, especially Daniel Amartey and Alex Djiku. They were trying to carry out their assignment well, but unknown to them, we have other very deadly players.
We are happy with our performance (in Kumasi) and on Tuesday we hope to finish things off in front of our fans.”

Djiku has however promised to go hard on the Napoli man again when both teams clash on Tuesday. The 27-year-old posted a picture of himself hard tackling the Nigerian striker with the caption, “We do it again on Tuesday.”
