Youths of Ezeleke, Umuopara in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State have heaped praises on the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji for the plethora of mini-stadium projects he is building across several locations, and more especially for the one under construction in their community.
The youths made this known today when they addressed newsmen at he site of the mini-stadium.
Speaking, Mr Loveday Nnabuihe, Secretary of the community’s youth group, said “We came around to appreciate what the Speaker, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji is doing for us. This project here is one-in-a-milion. This is first of its kind around this area.
“Our own brother, Hon Jerry Uzosike, (Member representing us) in the Abia State House of Assembly, who is also doing very well for us – everywhere in Umuopara – he has also made us to understand that whatever good thing he is doing around here is because of the Speaker’s magnanimity.
“We want to tell Me Speaker that we are fully on ground to assist him in whatever way to achieve this project. Ezeleke youths have capable hands to take care of what ever thing on the site”, he concluded.
The youths also gave their assurance that they would help to protect the facility even after its completion as it will go a long way in helping to keep the youths meaningfully busy, curb crime and other social vices and serve as an avenue for the discovery of budding talents in their locality.
“Even though we never expected that the Speaker will site such a gigantic project in our area, we are not surprised because we know what he is capable of doing in ensuring that dividends of democracy reach the populace”, one of them quipped.
Councillor representing Ezeleke at the Umuahia South Local Government Council, Hon Chidozie Nwaukwa, the community’s youth president, Mr Nwachukwu Anyalewechi, a supervisory councillor, Hon Nmesirionye Victor Ozichi were among others present.
Recall that the Speaker, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji had in earlier functions narrated how the Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has been of great help to him in attracting the mini-stadium projects to the benefiting communities, saying the cordial Executive/Legislature Arms of Government relationship in Abia State has been yielding immense dividends of democracy to the people.
