Why I Stole From My Madam – Repentant Boko Haram Terrorist Turned Househelp Reveals

One Baba-Goni Mohammed Ibrahim, a repentant Boko Haram terrorist, has been arrested and paraded for stealing in Borno State.

Parading Ibrahim and 109 other suspects on Friday, the Borno State Commissioner of Police, Abdu Umar, said, Ibrahim stole eight wrappers and a few other wearing apparel belonging to one Hajiya Lami of Mashidmari ward of Maiduguri metropolis, who employed him as a house-help.

Speaking to newsmen, Ibrahim said he repented from terrorism three years ago and has worked for Lami for about four months.

Explaining why he stole from his employer, the suspect said he was not paid for the number of months he worked for her.

“She employed me over four months ago. I worked for her for those months but she never paid me for even a month; so I stole her wrappers as compensation for the unpaid salary.”
