2023 ELECTION: Why I Am Supporting Ikuku, Akobundu, Ahiwe – Onyinye Ohuhu

 

High Chief Raymond Ofoegbu (Onyinye Ohuhu), has professed support for three PDP candidates ahead of the 2023 general election; Chief Okey Ahiwe (governorship candidate); Right Hon Engr. Enyinnaya Chinedum Orji alias Ikuku (Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency candidate) and Colonel Austin Akobundu (Abia central senatorial candidate).

 

Explaining the reason behind his support for Orji despite clamours for an Ohuhu indigene to represent at the Federal level, Ofoegbu stated that the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal constituency seat have gone round Ibeku and Ohuhu before and can now go to any zone. WATCH VIDEO BELOW: 

He recalled that Ambassador Empire Kalu from Ohuhu has been to the House Of Representative before 1999, while Stanley Ohajuruka from Ibeku represented after 1999 adding that; “it is a fresh deal now; it can either come from Ibeku or Ohuhu as a starting point”.

 

“An Ohuhu man and Ibeku man is the same thing. Ibeku people have not done anything wrong” Ofoegbu added.

 

He described Chinedum Orji as a role model who has impacted positively to the lives of people which has in turn made him “a man loved by all”.

“Engineer Chinedum Orji is a role model to an average Ikwuano/Umuahia youth because he has impacted positively on people’s lives.

 

“I like his style of politics that’s why i am supporting him” the PDP Chieftain stated.

 

Speaking on his support for Chief Okey Ahiwe, the PDP’s governorship candidate, Ofoegbu described him as a wonderful candidate whom Abians have been waiting for.

 

He likened Ahiwe’s emergence to the biblical David, adding that Ahiwe will beat other governorship candidates at the March 11, 2023 poll.

 

Ofoegbu noted that though PDP may not have done very well in the state, the emergence of Okey Ahiwe “is a correction point” and he will address the pressing needs of Abians using his experiences as a Chief of staff to the state governor.

 

“Ahiwe is a wonderful candidate; the emergence of Ahiwe is a correction point

 

“He is a marketable product, a credible candidate; he is what Abians have been waiting for; He is a workaholic.

 

“Okey Ahiwe is a name to work with. We needed a figure, acceptability, a wonderful commodity, a marketable product like Okey Ahiwe and he has emerged.

 

“Ahiwe is the man Abians have been waiting for. As he emerged, everywhere became peaceful” Ofoegbu said.

 

Speaking further, Ofoegbu endorsed the candidacy of Colonel Austin Akobundu, the PDP’s Abia Central senatorial candidate, noting that the 2023 election requires candidates who can correct the ills done by the APC led administration.

 

“At this point in time, what we need are strong minds; those who are going to the senate to change the mess APC has caused us”.

 

“Akobundu has shown us love, he has been around us. He has contributed to youth empowerment and community development projects in Ohuhu” he added.
