We will not allow Hoodlums carry out nefarious activities in Abia this Christmas – NSCDC Boss

The State Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Abia State Command,
Mr. Vincent Ogu (JP) has reiterated the command readiness to deal decisively with hoodlums and trouble makers who are bent on causing confusion anywhere in the state .

The commandant stated this through a press release made available to AFNEWS by DSC Ndukwe Agu Egwu who is the Command Public Relations Officer.

 

As contained in the press release the state Commandant ” wish Abians a memorable celebration and assured Abia residents of adequate Security of lives and properties before, during and after the Christmas and New Year Celebrations.

“Commandant Ogu gave the assurance while handling down the Commandant General’s directives on ‘yuletide Security’ to the Area Commanders, Divisional Officers, Heads of Tactical and Counter Terrorism Units of the Command.”

 

“He charged them to increase ‘Surveillance Activities and Intelligence Information Gathering’ in their respective
locations to ensure that Criminal elements are prevented from unleashing mayhem to the law abiding citizens in the State.

Emphasizing the benefits of effective synergy and collaborations among Security Agencies in the State”

The State commandant reaffirmed the readiness of his Command to continue to work in synergy with Sister Security Agencies to secure lives and property in the State.

 

“We have noted the black spots and flash points in the State and my men have been fully mobilized to take appropriate measures against any untoward development. We will not allow the hoodlums to carry out nefarious
activities”

 

On the Security Training Programme recently organized by the National Headquarters, Mr. Ogu said “primarily, this programme has been organized in lieu of the season at hand and your best is required to justify the resources that have been spent training you.It is our mandate to protect lives and properties of residents, maintain peace and order in the system and ensure that residents enjoy a hitch-free celebration especially during the yuletide and this must not be toiled with”

The State commandant furthermore directed the Area Commanders Head of Operations and the Divisional Officers to increase patrols in their area with special attention to Event Centers, Worship Centers, Markets/Malls that are usually soft targets.
