The people of Ukwa East and Ukwa West LGAS of Abia state have expressed confidence in the ability of a respected Abia son and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Alex Otti to rewrite the sad history of the people of the area if given the opportunity to pilot the affairs of Abia state.

Receiving the representatives of one of Dr. Alex Otti’s political structures “ABIA ARISE” who were hosted in the two LGAS, the people expressed immense joy that Dr. Otti has continued to show concerns and interest in the two LGAS and praised his resilience and altruistic desire to ensure that the leadership challenges confronting the state and which have impacted on Ukwa very negatively become a thing of the past.

Speaking to the leadership of ABIA ARISE during a meeting held at Ndoki in Ukwa East and Asa in Ukwa West LGA respectively, the leader of the Abia South Delegation of ABIA ARISE that visited the two LGAS, Hon. Ishmael Onuoha thanked the people of the two LGAS for the heartwarming love and solidarity they have continually expressed in honour of Dr. Alex Otti which stemmed from their conviction of his competence to salvage Abia state, and urged them to continue their impactful political evangelism for the APC and ABIA ARISE in Abia state, assuring that Dr. Otti was poised to salvaging the state through selfless collaboration with other Progressives in the APC and beyond.

In their Contributions,some other members of the team which included Mrs. Victoria Onwubiko, Ferdinand Ekeoma, Emeka Ihesiaba and others praised the people of Ukwa East and West for populating Dr. Otti’s political structure “ABIA ARISE” with passionate supporters , and for firmly supporting the APC in the two LGAS, assuring them that the APC was poised to deepening democracy in Abia state and ensuring that a new progressive dawn will be heralded in due course.

They restated Dr. Alex Otti’s position that the APC as a party remains the engine room that carries every individual political structure, and made it clear that anyone who’s a true supporter of Dr. Otti or a member of any of his political structures must recognize the structure and supremacy of APC at all levels , and urged those who hadn’t yet registered with the APC to do so during the forthcoming registration/revalidation exercise.

In their seperate speeches, Mr. Anele Michael, Mr. Nduka Anyamele and Lady Adaeze Uwabunkeonye from Ukwa West, and Chibunna Akara, Mr. Timothy Nna and Chief Samuel Imuche from Ukwa East expressed sadness that in spite of the oil producing status of Ukwa land and its economic benefits to Abia state, the two local governments were yet to see any meaningful development in the area, and expressed confidence that with Dr. Otti’s capacity, passion and network of contacts
the two LGAS would begin to feel the impacts of good governance if a thoroughbred professional like him mounts the leadership saddle of the state at the appropriate time.

They expressed joy that Dr. Otti’s entry into the APC in Abia represents a progressive metamorphosis that would up the ante of leadership in Abia state, and assured that they were ready to give unflinching support to the APC in every nook and cranny of Ukwa land.

The visit witnessed goodwill messages and songs of solidarity from Abia Arise women in honour of Dr. Alex Otti and the APC.
