WATCH VIDEO: Abia Attorney General Gives Strict Condition For The Appointment Of Judges

The Abia state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Ikechukwu Uwanna, has warned that the appointment of judges in the state will no longer be based on favoritism as it were in the past.

Uwanna while speaking exclusively to ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER (AFNEWS) noted that the administration of governor Alex Otti is merit-centred, therefore judges for either the High Court or Customary court of appeal will be appointed based on merit and hard work.

“We have a governor who is interested in we doing the right things; His Excellency Dr Alex Otti OFR, wants only merit. It is going to be a clear departure from what had happened before; the only thing that will count this time around is merit; that is going to be the requirement and condition for anybody to become a judge in Abia state be it at the High court or customary court of appeal. We are going to do that so that our people will start seeing that there is value to hard work” the Commissioner said.
