VIDEO: I AM NOT YET DONE WITH UMUAHIA ISI-GATE SAYS UMUAHIA NORTH TC CHAIRMAN

Responding today to a documentary on the recent clearing at UMUAHIA ISI-GATE which was published by ABIA FACTS ONLINE TV during one of her flagship programs, “STREETPLUS”, Hon Barr. Kelechi Onyeze Ezechukwu, clearly stated his reasons for clearing UMUAHIA ISI-GATE.

In his words, “is not like the Government has not been concerned about how ISI-GATE works, probably the people who was handed over the responsibility to make sure that ISI-GATE was cleared didn’t take it seriously or they didn’t know how to go about it. When we came on board, we sat down together and thought of ideas and those ideas where implemented and it worked.

We felt the need to get the tricycle to be loading off the road and the same with vehicles, because there is ample space for them leaving the road free and clear. ‘We are not yet done’ with our plans for ISI-GATE. If you know Umuahia ISI-GATE very well, you will find out that the OWERRI road which connects ISI-GATE is not yet clear, you can not drive drive through from ISI-GATE to OWERRI road and to UWALAKA street. So i have constituted a committee that will ensure that ISI-GATE will be peaceful and organized.”

While responding to questions, he urged Abians to exercise patience that the Government will not intentionally punish them by the stoppage of the tricycle from 6am to 7pm, he affirms the decision of the Government to be security oriented and for the well being of Abians generally. In line with the celebration of worker’s day on the 1st May, 2019, he advises Abia civil servants to remain faithful workers.
