Two teenagers aged 16 (name withheld) have been caught while allegedly trying to use a 14-year-old girl for money rituals in Bayelsa state.

The duo were caught by residents of Sagbana Federated Community in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa on Monday, January 3, 2022.

According to reports, the suspects allegedly lured their target to an uncompleted building with charms. Unfortunately, a passerby caught them before they could succeed in their criminal act.

One of the boys is said to be the son of the traditional ruler of Amanana-owei community.

The state police command is yet to release a statement on the incident. Meanwhile, some eyewitness said residents chased away police operatives who came to take the suspects.
