Victor Osimhen breaks silence after making history with GalatasarayVictor Osimhen celebrates historic Turkish Cup win with Galatasaray, scoring twice in a 3-0 rout of Trabzonspor, breaking a 24-year goal record with 35 goals.

The 26-year-old delivered a breathtaking man-of-the-match performance in Wednesday night’s final, scoring a brace in a commanding 3-0 rout of Trabzonspor on Wednesday night.

Osimhen’s goals, both scored in the second half of the match, showed his lethal finishing and strength.

His double took his season tally to an astonishing 35 goals across all competitions, shattering a 24-year-old record to become the foreign player with the most goals in a single campaign for the Cim-Bom.

The previous record, set in 2001 by Mario Jardel, had long stood as a benchmark for excellence at the Istanbul club.

The victory was a significant milestone for Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli and has quickly become a fan favourite.

His relentless work rate, combined with his goal-scoring instinct, has transformed the Lions into a formidable force.

The Turkish Cup win adds another trophy to the striker’s growing collection, following his Serie A success with Napoli in 2023.

Moments after the final whistle, an ecstatic Osimhen took to social media to celebrate the achievement.

“Turkish Cup Winners! God is the Greatest,” he posted on his X account, formerly Twitter, sparking a flood of congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues.

The win not only highlights Osimhen’s decisive role but also stresses his ability to deliver on the biggest stages.

While Galatasaray basks in the glory of their cup success, Osimhen’s record-breaking campaign continues to captivate Gala fans.

With his sights set on more wins, the Nigerian star remains a driving force for the Turkish giants.
