Chieftain of Abia State All Progressives Congress (APC) and Abia State House of Assembly aspirant , Chief Smart Iheoma has revealed that he will pursue a bill that will criminalize non- payment of salary if elected as member representing Umuahia North Ohuhu State Constituency.

The staunch Dr. Alex Otti supporter revealed this while featuring on a popular AF-TELEVISION online program ‘Focal Point’ anchored on the platform of ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER on Monday 16th May 2022.

Smart Iheoma stated that pensioners and numerous other workers are passing through touch time in Abia State due to unpaid wage bills, while those who are saddled with the responsibility are doing nothing. He maintained that as a house member he will not fold his hands and watch that happen again, hence the need of the law.

When asked whether he thinks that the governor that will emerge in 2023 will sign that bill into law, he answered in the affirmative because he believes that the governor from 2023 will be Dr. Alex Otti.

“Yes, the governor will be Alex Otti and Otti does that like owing workers, so he will sign the bill into law. The bill will discourage those in power from owing workers”

Smart Iheoma went further to state that he intends to draw the attention of International intervention organisations to ecological issues affecting the Ohuhu people.

Smart equally promised to keep sporting activities alive as this would help be a unifying factor for the Ohuhu Youths.

“I am calling on all delegates to vote me during the primaries, i am outspoken, i am fully qualified to represent them” he concluded.
