The Abia Rejoice Movement has applauded the people of Ukwa La Ngwa for what it described as a bold, visionary and well-earned decision to recognise the leadership of Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, describing the gesture as a reflection of leadership that truly delivers.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the group said the honour accorded Governor Otti goes far beyond symbolism, stressing that it represents a sincere acknowledgement of governance built on accountability, transparency and measurable impact.
According to the movement, the recognition by Ukwa La Ngwa is a direct response to the visible outcomes of the Otti administration, noting that strengthened governance structures, infrastructural renewal and people-centred policies have continued to reshape communities across Abia State.
The group stated that at a time when Nigerians are demanding responsible leadership and tangible development, Abia has emerged as a positive example of what is achievable when governance is driven by discipline, sincerity and service to the people.
It added that Governor Otti’s administration has marked a clear departure from the past, ushering in what it described as a “rebirth of Abia” founded on restored public trust, prudent management of resources and policies that directly impact citizens.
The Abia Rejoice Movement further described the honour by Ukwa La Ngwa as both an endorsement of Governor Otti’s performance and a celebration of a shared vision for a state where progress is visible and governance works for the people.
The group called on Abians to continue supporting and protecting the gains of the current administration, stressing that good governance will always attract unity, recognition and widespread public support.
“Abia is rising. The people see it. The people feel it. And together, we rejoice because the future is bright,” the statement concluded.
