Angry youths blocked Kankara LGA main road of entry and exit protesting the alleged killings by bandits in the area.

Katsina Post learnt that at least 5 corpses from β€˜Yar Kuka village were evacuated by the vigilante members and took them to the Sarkin Pauwan Katsina district head of Kankara.

According to our local source who pleaded for anonymity said the vigilante members took the dead bodies to the Caretaker chairman of the local government transition commitee but he was not around.

Commuters of the road had to take alternative routes to avoid unforseen circumstances.

The Katsina State Police public relations officer, SP Gambo Isah Police is yet to respond to enquiries made to him as at the time of filing in this report.
