President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians that the country will overcome the current electricity shortages, rising transport costs, and looming inflation, despite global economic pressure triggered by the Middle East conflict.

The President made this statement on Sunday after special birthday prayers held at the National Mosque Abuja, where he addressed State House correspondents on the current economic challenges facing the nation.

Tinubu admitted that Nigeria is currently facing serious economic and infrastructure challenges, particularly in electricity supply, transportation costs, and inflation expected to rise due to global tensions and war in the Middle East.

According to him, many of the current economic difficulties are caused by external global factors beyond Nigeria’s control, stressing that the government is working to stabilize the economy and improve living conditions for Nigerians.

He stated that despite the hardship, Nigeria will overcome the challenges, describing Nigerians as resilient people who will continue to move forward despite difficulties.

The President described his birthday as a solemn moment for reflection, thanksgiving, and rededication to national service and development. He also appreciated Nigerians for the massive goodwill messages and prayers sent to him during his birthday celebration.

Tinubu further called on Nigerians to remain hopeful and prayerful for the country and for global peace, noting that international conflicts often affect developing economies like Nigeria through inflation, fuel prices, and transportation costs.

He emphasized that the government remains committed to improving electricity supply, stabilizing the economy, and ensuring long-term national growth and prosperity.

The President concluded by urging Nigerians to continue supporting government reforms and to remain optimistic about the future of the country.
