A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Pa Olawuwo has been arrested by the Oyo State Police command.
The arrest was in connection with the murder of Dr Fatai Aborode, of the same party.
Recall that Aborode was allegedly killed on Friday, December 11, 2020 in his farm along Apodun road, Igangan in Ibarapa North Local Government Area of the state.
The State PPRO SP Olugbenga Fadeyi, had confirmed that the deceased was robbed and shot by four unknown gunmen at about 5.50 p.m.
However, the State Police Command on Thursday, arrested one of the chieftains of the party, Olawuwo for alleged involvement in the murder of the deceased.
Report says that Olawuwo was arrested and detained at the former SARS office at Dugbe in Ibadan.

According to the PPRO, the chieftain who is still in police custody, has been charged to court.
