A 5-year-old girl, Miss Miracle Michael, has become the center of a heartbreaking story that has left residents of Umuahia in deep shock and anger.
Her mother, Miss Chinyere Ekeke of Amoba Village in Bende Local Government Area, is pleading for help from the Wife of the Governor of Abia State, Mrs. Priscilla Otti, following the alleged defilement of her daughter by a 22-year-old man identified as Mr. Favour (Son of Aja).
In an emotional interview with the All Facts Newspaper team, who visited the family at Central Police Station in Umuahia, the distraught mother narrated the horrifying ordeal, calling on the Abia State First Lady to intervene, provide justice, and support her daughter’s medical and psychological recovery.
“This pain is too much for me. My little girl is traumatized, and we need help. I am begging Her Excellency, Mrs. Priscilla Otti, to please come to our rescue,” she cried.
According to the mother, the shocking incident occurred on Saturday, October 19, 2025, around 1:00 PM at Railway, Umuahia.
Her daughter and younger son were reportedly lured by the suspect, who gave the boy an Android phone to watch a movie while taking the girl inside a parlour.
The little girl later narrated how the suspect violated her in unimaginable ways until a neighbour heard her cries and rushed in, catching the suspect in the act.
Sadly, instead of being handed over to the police, he was beaten and released by some community members.
The Spring Aide Foundation, an Abia-based humanitarian and human rights organisation, has taken up the case and submitted a formal petition to the Abia State Commissioner of Police, demanding the immediate arrest and prosecution of the suspect.
In a letter signed by its Executive Director, Comrade Johnson Ikechukwu, the Foundation condemned the act as “barbaric, inhumane, and a gross violation of the Child Rights Act.”
The group urged the police to act swiftly, ensure the suspect faces the law, and provide urgent medical and psychological assistance to the victim and her family.
Spring Aide Foundation and the victim’s family are now appealing to the Wife of the Governor, Mrs. Priscilla Otti, to intervene personally to ensure justice is done and that the little girl receives proper care and protection.
“Beyond justice, this child needs healing and long-term support,” the Foundation’s statement added.
A touching video obtained by All Facts Newspaper shows the mother’s emotional appeal for help and justice — a plea that has sparked widespread sympathy online.
