T0P ST0RY: Onuigbo Set To Pullout 200 Abia Unemployed Youths Out Of Poverty | SEE PHOTOS

National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO) in collaboration with the office of RT. Hon. Sam Onuigbo, member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency Abia State on Friday, at the Kolping Society in Umuahia, kicked off a 5-day training on “Strategic Training \ Empowerment For Unemployed Youths And Unskilled Women In Ikwuano|Umuahia Federal Constituency.

 

Speaking to Journalists, the Chief Liaison officer to Hon. Onuigbo, Evangelist Abraham Osondu stated that the programme is a continuation of his Principal’s commitment in leveraging his position at the Federal House in sourcing out these Federal Government skill acquisition and empowerment programs for the benefits of the people in his constituency.

He stated that the programme will run in two batches with the current batch incorporating 200 persons of which will be empowered with stipends and equipment to support them in their specialized trained programmed.

 

He assured those from the constituency that their names were not enlisted in the programme to keep fate as Hon Onuigbo will hope to get another share of NICO quarterly lectures and acquisition which runs quarterly in a year.

Addressing participants earlier, he urged them to make the most of the programme, as it is intended to financially empower them and make them employers of labour.

 

Expressing his gratitude, Chibuogwu Ibe, a participant of the programme thanked Hon. Onuigbo for the thoughtful and good gestures towards them and prayed God’s blessings on him.
