Controversy have rocked the Abia state PDP, owing to its choice of zoning the 2023 gubernatorial ticket to Abia North and Central while governor Ikpeazu allegedly prefers a successor from Ngwa extraction.

“The present administration has failed the state. This party will die one day and I’ll remain an Abian; and I choose to remain an Abian and support any government that will make improvement for the lives of our people rather than going to support a political party; I will decide to leave the party” Evulogu said.

The kingmaker who has been with the PDP since 1999, reaffirmed that governor Ikpeazu failed from the time he appointed his advisers.

ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER had reported that Chief Charles Ogbonna stated that the problem of governor Ikpeazu is that he appointed advisers whom he advises instead of them advising the governor.

“It started from when he was appointing his advisers; I told him, you don’t appoint small boys as advisers. You need to appoint people that will advise you and not people you will advise” Ogbonna restated.

He regretted that Ikpeazu whom he described as his friend, have refused to take his advice on the state of Abia state which is not as it should be, hence the need to come public.
