Stop normalising shamelessness — TV presenter Nenny B tells women

Nenny B is apparently fed up with the low level of decency in the country, forcing the 28-year-old to ponder whether there are still women with dignity.

 

The media personality, born Nnenna Egwuekwe, took to her Instastories to caution against “normalising shamelessness”.

You know, the question of what is morally acceptable and what is not is a debate that is never going to end.

In any case, indecency appears to be of great concern to the TV presenter.

“Pls Do We Still have Decent Girls?’ she asked. “Like the ones who carry themselves with grace not confidence in stupidity.

“Girls who make out time to enjoy themselves but know what’s ladylike and what’s not.

“Girls that know it’s good to have fun but also know that it has to be done in moderation. Girls with dignity. Girls who can’t be shameless because they have something to lose and people to respect. Girls who can be edgy but not fall off the edge.

“Girls who are very much aware that certain things should be kept sacred and even if you indulge in it, you make sure it’s kept private not using microphones to shout it up and down.

“Stop normalizing shamelessness.”

Nenny B is a video jockey who introduces music videos and live performances on MTV Base Africa.

Her message is coming on the heels of the fourth episode of Big Brother Naija (season 5) Lockdown Reunion Show. The reunion turned many heads, raised eyebrows and got many talking after some of the housemates let on about their aggressive cuddling and other steamy acts they got themselves entangled in.
