The Archbishop of Anglican Church, Aba Province & Bishop, Diocese of Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State, The Most Rev. Isaac Chijioke Nwaobia, revealed that the last election has shown that God has risen for the sake of Abia state adding that the state must be cleansed.
The Most Rev. Isaac Chijioke Nwaobia who stated this during his address at the second session of the 5th synod at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church Mkpuka, further posited that sometimes it is shameful to say you are from Abia State.
Speaking further, he noted that Abia state is underdeveloped and the numerous challenges facing the state which past and the incumbent administration failed to address has made Abians to have a huge expectation of the governor elect, Dr. Alex Otti.
He assured Abians that God has risen for the sake of Abia state adding that the state must be cleansed.
In his words;
By the Grace of God, the second tenure of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu will end on May 29, 2023. The administration has had its ups and downs. When the books of records will be opened in comparison with the past Governor Orji Uzor Kalu and Governor T. A. Orji we will be able to pass sound assessment.
Now, we welcome the Governor Elect – Dr. Alex Otti of Labour Party after 24 years of PDP leadership. Dr. Alex Otti is inheriting backlog of unpaid salaries, pensions, uncompleted projects & road networks, etc. The truth is that Abia State is under developed and our expectations and prayers are high in the incoming administration. Sometimes we are ashamed to say we are from Abia State. Our God has risen, this shame must be cleansed.
