Social Media: How Children Can Stay Safe Online – NCC

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), has revealed simple ways children can stay say online.#

The NCC is the National Independent Regulatory Authority for the telecom industry in Nigeria.

For children to be safe online, the NCC advises;

“never chat with strangers.

“always ask permission from a parent or guardian before doing anything you are not familiar with.

“if anyone does something that is wrong to you, immediately tell your parent or guardian.”

The NCC have continued to lay emphasis on Child Online Protection (COP), an initiative aimed at ensuring that Nigerian children are safe online owing to the rise in cyber bullying, harassment, etc.
